Prof. Michael Berenbaum
Michael Berenbaum is a Professor of Jewish Studies and Director of the Sigi Ziering Institute: Exploring the Ethical and Religious Implications of the Holocaust at American Jewish University. His is the former Project Director overseeing the creation of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Conceptual Developer and/of chief curator of museums in 7 American cities and four European countries. He was a curator and historian on the award winning exhibition on Auschwitz: Not Long Ago, Not Far Away that made its American Premier at the Museum of Jewish Heritage. He is the former President and CEO of the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation. The author and editor of 22 books, he was Managing Editor of the Second Edition of the Encyclopaedia Judaica. His work in film has won Emmy Awards. And he is currently at work on Museums in Romania, Poland and Boston. His work in film has earned Emmy Awards and projects he has participated in a historian or interviewee or producer have earned four Academy Awards.

Als Kurator und Historiker verantwortete er die preisgekrönte Ausstellung über Auschwitz: Not Long Ago, Not Far Away, die im Museum of Jewish Heritage ihre amerikanische Premiere feierte. Er bekleidete das Amt des Präsidenten und CEO der Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation. Er ist Autor und Herausgeber von 22 Büchern und war Chefredakteur der zweiten Ausgabe der Encyclopaedia Judaica. Derzeit arbeitet er an Museen in Rumänien, Polen und Boston. Für seine Filmarbeit wurde er mit dem Emmy Award ausgezeichnet, und Projekte, an denen er als Historiker, Interviewpartner oder Produzent beteiligt war, wurden mit vier Academy Awards prämiert.
Dr. Rachel Blumenthal
Rachel Blumenthal, a lawyer and historian at the Hebrew University, researches the cataclysmic Second World War’s repercussions. Her book Right to Reparations: The Claims Conference and Holocaust Survivors, 1951-1964 was published in 2021.

Dr. Michael Borchard
Dr. Michael Borchard was member of the team of speech writers for the former chancellor Helmut Kohl and head of the speechwriting division for the former Minister-president of the State of Thuringia, Bernhard Vogel. In 2003, he joined the Konrad-Adenauer-foundation and served as director of the department “Politics and Consulting”. From 2014 – 2017, he was the resident representative of KAS in Israel. Since 2018, he has headed the department “References and Research Services/Archive for Christian Democratic Policy. In 2020, he published a book about the “impossible friendship” of Konrad Adenauer and David Ben-Gurion.
Dr. Michael Borchard war Mitglied des Redenschreiberteams des damaligen Bundeskanzlers Helmut Kohl und langjährig Chefredenschreiber des Thüringer Ministerpräsidenten, Bernhard Vogel. Seit 2003 arbeitet er für die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, zunächst als Leiter der Hauptabteilung Politik und Beratung, dann 2014-2017 als Leiter des Landesbüros der KAS in Israel. Seit 2018 leitet er die Abteilung Wissenschaftliche Dienste/Archiv für Christlich-Demokratische Politik. 2020 ist sein Buch über die „Unmögliche Freundschaft“ von Konrad Adenauer und David Ben-Gurion erschienen.

Prof. Dan Diner is Professor of Modern History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His publications comprise books on German, Jewish, and Global Histories. He is the Editor of the seven-volume Encyclopedia of Jewish History and Culture.

Prof. Roni Stauber is the Director of the Goldstein-Goren Diaspora Research Center, Tel Aviv University. His research focuses on various aspects of Holocaust memory, in particular the correlations between ideology, politics, and collective memory.
